About Ms. Amos

Ms. Amos in NYCMy name is Vanessa Amos, and this is my 7th year as a teacher.  The first four years, I taught at Armendariz Middle School where I was primarily a Public Speaking teacher.  This is my third year at Canyon Hills, where I'm very excited to be back to teaching Public Speaking and Journalism.  I'm born and raised in El Paso, and a proud EPHS Tiger alumna!

I graduated from the University of Texas, El Paso with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, concentration in Communications. I'm a proud member of The Alpha Phi Women's Fraternity, where I joined when I was in school at California State University, East Bay.  I don't have any kids, but I do have two dogs--Martini (who lives with my parents) and Pepper--who I consider like my children.  I am currently the 7th grade girls basketball coach at Canyon Hills.  Go Cobras!
