Things to Know

  • CELL PHONES * Cell phones must be turned off. * If a cell phone rings, or disrupts the instructional environment then they will be confiscated. * If phones are out during instruction time they will be confiscated. * Cell phones must be kept in off position and out of sight. * Confiscated phones may only be picked up by the parent for a fee of $15. * The school will not be held accountable for lost or stolen cell phoes. * Electronic devices such as MP3 players, IPODS, Gaming devices will not be permitted.
  • November 30, 2009 Report Cards will be issued to Middle School and High School Students.
  • June 4th, 2010 is the last day of school. No Early Dismissal. June 14th 2010 Report Cards will issued via U.S. Mail.
  • May 28, 2010 will be early dismissal. Middle School 11:45 am, Elementary School 12:15 pm, and High School 12:45 pm.
  • May 3rd, 2010 Report cards will be issued to Middle and High School students.
  • No School May 31, 2010 in observance of Memorial day.
  • No school March 15-19 and on April 2nd in observance of spring holiday.
  • January 11, 2010. Report cards will be issued.
  • No School January 18, 2010 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.
  • December 18, 2009: Last day of Fall Semester. Last day for students: Early release 11:45. Winter Holiday 21-31 & January 1-3. Students return to school January 4, 2010
  • No School November 23-27, 2009 in observance of Thanksgiving.
  • No school November 11, 2009 in observance of Veteran's Day
  • Every Wednesday is College T-Shirt day with your uniform pants...ALL GRADES!! and Every Friday is Spirit Day. Canyon Hills T-shirt or club shirts are allowed with uniform pants.
  • SCHOOL STARTS AT 7:45 AM TARDY BELL RINGS AT 7:50 AM SCHOOL ENDS AT 2:50 PM
  • Navy and or Khaki color slacks only. Proper fit. No sagging (boys) and No low rise (girls) pants allowed. No jeans, cargo, carpenter, Capris, shorts, skirts or skorts are allowed. Solid colored polo's only-maroon, white, and gold. Long sleeved polos allowed. No logos other than CHMS are permited. Outer Garments Students will be allowed to wear sweatshirts or sweaters in the classroom. * Plain solid zippered Hoddies are allowed in: white, maroon, gray and gold. * Sweaters or sweatshirts must be unbottoned or unzipped when inside the building. * Pull over hoddies only allowed with Canyon Logo.
  • Our school colors are Maroon, White, and Gold!! Our mascot is the COBRA!
